2021 HARD SURFACES CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
City of Columbus, Department of Recreation and Parks
Under this CRPD program, Dynotec is providing a full-time Construction Inspector (RPI), a part-time construction inspector, and a part-time Project Manager. The project involves repairing (partial & full depth) of existing asphalt and concrete pavements at 18 different project sites: Dodge Park & Recreation Area, Driving Park Community Recreation Center, Franklin Park, Goodale Park, Innis Park, Krumm Park, Northcrest Park, Northmoor Park, Schiller Park, Three Creeks Park-Madison Mills, Three Creeks Park-Sycamore Field, Whetstone Park, Willow Creek Park, Mentel Memorial Golf Course, Airport Golf Course, Blackburn Park, Kobacker Park, Millbrook Park, and Sullivan Gardens Recreation Center. Contract Award: May 2021. Work Completed: June 2022 (est.).
UPGROUND RESERVOIR PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS AND INFLATABLE DAM

Reservoir sites included: a 400-acre, 4-billion-gallon site; an 843-acre, 9-billion-gallon site; and a 350-acre, 4-billion-gallon site. Dynotec’s construction engineers/inspectors provided construction inspection of the construction of a raw water pumping station with four vertical turbine pumps with four 1,000-hp motors, 15 KV transformer, switch gears, and associated step- down transformers for a new 9 billion-gallon reservoir in Delaware County. The site is utilizing an inflatable weir in the Scioto River with two 25-hp compressors and its associated pressure tank, a river intake structure, over 5 miles of intake piping and channels, and screening equipment to divert water to the new reservoir. Dynotec’s engineers/ inspectors provided oversight for the installation of all major industrial capital equipment and the coordination of contractors for needed improvements and changes to accommodate new equipment. Dynotec also negotiated best prices with contractors and oversaw the project schedule to ensure timeliness. Work Completed: 2013. Project Costs: Reservoir: $84.3M. Raw Water Pump Station: $28.5M. Raw Water Pipeline: $16.6M.
DUBLIN ROAD WATER TREATMENT PLANT FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS – CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT (MULTIPLE PHASES)

Dynotec’s Construction Management and Construction Inspection services on this major water plant site have encompassed: Phase 1 – New Employee Entrance/Parking Lot and New Sludge Pump Station; Phase 2 – Renovation of all 18 Sand Filters; Phase 3 – New Ozone and Recarbonation Building; Phase 4 – New Ion Exchange & Plant Reliability Upgrades (Electrical/Chemical Facility); and Phase 5 – Demolition of 2 Pump Stations, Renovations to 14″ Forcemain, New 16″ DIP Forcemain and New Sludge Pump Station. Construction Cost: Phase 1: $19.2M; Phase 2: $28.2M; Phase 3: $32.6M; Phase 4: $89.5M; Phase 5: $7.3M.
HAP CREMEAN WATER TREATMENT PLANT – CONCRETE REHABILITATION, PART I
City of Columbus, Dept. of Public Utilities, Division of Water
Due to the deterioration of the existing 50+ year-old concrete structures, the purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the structures in and around the settling and flocculation basin complex. This work consists of concrete rehabilitation of existing concrete structures and basins, railing replacement, site lighting, and slide gate replacement sizes ranging from 49×26 to 96×96. Concrete rehabilitation consisted of horizontal and vertical repairs, shallow and full depth repairs, crack repair, expansion joint repair and replacement, and concrete waterproofing. Construction Completed: April 2021. Construction Cost: $13.6M.
ROADWAY – MATERIALS TESTING & INSPECTION 2020 City of Columbus, Dept. of Public Service
Working as a subconsultant to CTL Engineering, Dynotec provided construction inspection services and materials testing on several projects over two years. Our inspectors provided services on resurfacing projects, private development projects, storm/sanitary projects, gas line relocations, directional drilled fiber optic cable installation, etc. Contract Award: March 2020.
