DYNOTEC, INC is seeking a Director of Architecture for their Cleveland office to expand architectural consulting services in Northern Ohio and Pittsburgh areas.

Founded in 1990, the company has grown to become one of the most successful and established SBE/MBE/DBE/EDGE firms in the region. Our core services include architectural, structural, transportation and roadway design, water/wastewater engineering, construction management and inspection, and surveying. We provide architectural design services for the Department of Defense (DoD), State, and Local clients. Our architectural services include new building design, building renovation, water/wastewater buildings, building envelope and roof design.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successful design leadership and management of both projects and teams.
- Planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Directs and effectively delegates project work to senior designers and managers, while ensuring highest levels of quality.
- Participate in business development activities, including marketing efforts, proposals, and interviews.
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with client and staff.
- Foster a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Responsible for maintaining client relationships throughout the project. Keeps client apprised of project progress on regular basis. Initiates and maintains contact with other key project individuals for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
- Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and
manufacturer-supplier appropriateness. - Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in the coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Architect with current registration in Ohio and ability to obtain in other states.
- 10-15 years’ experience in architectural practice with management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy.
- Leadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and meeting scope/schedule/budget.
- Excellent communication skills including in initial client pitches through inspirational communication of design solutions.
- LEED credential preferred.
