A retired Engineer Branch Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army, Michael has 20+ years of experience as a project manager relating to $345M of design and construction management as a Federal Technician. He has extensive experience in the same role as a government designs and projects manager. Primary disciplines and expertise that Michael has managed include architecture, civil, structural, MEP, fire protection, historic preservation, estimating, code compliance, environmental services, life safety, quality control review, scheduling, space planning, and sustainability. Secondary expertise includes security, surveying, LEED, risk assessment, vertical transportation, real estate market analysis, master planning, and report writing. Projects include myriad facility types including Readiness Centers, Secure Rooms/Areas, Institutional & Industrial Systems and Facilities, Firing Ranges for live and practice rounds. He has prepared around 1,000 design concepts and conveyed via working drawings, software programs (CADD & GIS) with scheduling with MS Project. And, he has the proven ability to work in unison with staff, partners, and clients. Michael is also familiar with state-of-the-art environmental and engineering technologies (i.e. DDC) and he has incorporated this into the planning, design, operation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of installation infrastructure.
